  • 01 Where is the team based?

    Distributed across multiple countries spanning DACH, the UK, USA, and India. We work async-first with overlapping hours so every client has at least four hours of live overlap with their lead strategist.

  • 02 Who actually owns Matrixe Zone?

    The founding team — independently held, bootstrapped since day one, no outside investors. Which means we can take long bets, turn down bad-fit clients, and tie our fee to your number without quarterly pressure.

  • 03 Do you take equity, or just cash?

    Cash by default. We've taken minor equity in three companies (under 1% each) where we believed deeply in the founder and the engagement was multi-year. It's not the norm — most engagements are sprint-based with cash + outcome-tied fee.

  • 04 How do you choose which clients to work with?

    Three criteria: (1) we believe the product is real and the market exists; (2) there's a senior decision-maker who'll engage with us weekly; (3) the budget is sized to actually move the number. We turn down ~60% of qualified inbound for fit reasons.

  • 05 What does a typical week look like?

    Mon: async standup + sprint planning. Tue–Thu: ship work. Fri: live demo + dashboard walkthrough. AI agents run continuously in the background — humans converge on judgment calls.

  • 06 Can we hire a single specialist instead of the whole team?

    No. The whole point is the orchestration — senior strategist + AI agents working as one system. Hiring a single specialist would be like buying one part of a car. We'll happily refer you to good freelancers if that's what you need.

  • 07 Do you have an in-person office?

    No permanent office. The team meets in-person twice a year — once for a strategy week, once for a deep-work retreat. Clients in NYC, London, and Berlin sometimes get an in-person workshop quarter — at a co-working space we book for them.

  • 08 What's your hiring philosophy?

    Senior only. Average tenure 12 years. Every hire has run growth at companies you've heard of and ships their own AI tooling. We pay top-decile and grow slowly — usually 1–2 hires per year, never on volume.
